The Gut Knows!

Trust Your Gut_ nourished by alma_ blog.png

Think of the Gut as “Mission Control”, the place where information is broken down and communicated to our body to digest, absorb, and utilize as nutrients, such as fats, proteins, and carbs.

The Gut is called the “Second Brain” with 100 million neurons in the small intestine alone. Helping to regulate the immune system, 75% of our immune system is in our gut, it helps bring balance and releases over 50 hormones, making it the largest endocrine organ, it helps regulate blood sugar and aids in the health of our brain.

There is an extensive network of hormones and neurotransmitters, that send signals back and forth from the gut to the brain and from the gut to various organs. Impacting every other system in our body.

The Gut knows! It will tell you when something is right or wrong through cues you are experiencing mentally, emotionally, physically, and yes, spiritually as well.

Confirming there is a central connection of the Gut to the Body+Mind+Emotions+Spirit. And the need for us to give care and extra attention to our Gut Health.

Coming Soon! my ebook and workshops “Trust in God… With All Your Gut.”- a look at Gut Health through the lens of God’s creation, ancient philosophies, and truth found in bible scripture- connecting the importance of gut health in ancient times to the science of today.
